Born in 1971 Aniruddha Bhattacharya B. Sc. (Hons.) loved music enough to start listening, appreciating and learning pretty early under the guidance of his mother Smt. Gouri Bhattacharya – one of the very first disciples of Pt.A.kanan and an outstanding vocalist herself.

Few years later, in 1989,Aniruddha’s formal training started at the feet of veteran vocalist Pt. A. Kanan and Smt. Malavika Kanan. This contact led to a chain of events. Aniruddha entered the world of ITC SRA as a scholar from 1990 to 2001.

An “A” grade AIR artise, Aniruddha has given quite a few recitals organised by connoisseurs in various places like West Bangal, Calcutta, Delhi, Agra and Mumbai, where he featured among the stalwarts of classical music. Accolades came wherever he performed. Aniruddha also made a tremendous successful tour in the united States of America covering important places like Hartford, New Jersey, Albany, Orlando and Dallas amongst others. The Sur Singer Sansad of Mumbai awarded him the coveted “Surmani” title in june’98. Incidentally, he is a graduate from Calcutta university with hons. in zoology. Gifted with mellifluous of the present generation, and is held in high esteem by his listeners.
